We know that the League of Women Voters of Collier County (LWVCC) certainly has a vital role to play during a presidential election year, but it goes well beyond that.
“The LWVCC is an important force for change in Collier County,” says Diane Preston Moore, the organization’s president. “We are tackling issues that range from the environment to housing to women’s reproductive care to good governance to, of course, voter information and voting rights. Over 100 years ago, the League was formed as a source of information to help 20 million new women voters’ vote. Now, more than a century later, the League is still thriving, still empowering voters and still defending democracy.”
