The Social Policy Committee (SPC) is pleased to have a special guest speaker for our March meeting. Amanda Brunson is the Associate Executive Director of the Florida Healthy Start Coalition of SWFL, a 501(c)(3) organization established over 30 years ago to address the serious problems of infant mortality, premature births, low birth weights and to remove barriers to prenatal and early childhood health care. This organization’s programs have been very successful in providing services that have had a positive impact on birth outcomes and maternal and infant health. The statistics are impressive.
Ms. Brunson will inform us of the various services and programs that Healthy Start offers and how their results prove that quality care during pregnancy and the early years of life saves lives and helps to avoid future problems.

Directions: Enter Moorings Park from the traffic light at Goodlette-Frank Road and Granada ( do not use Solana Rd.). After going through entrance, turn right onto Moorings Park Drive and continue until you reach the stop sign. Turn right , go past buildings on your right and turn left at “t”. There will be parking spaces in front of building. There will be a sign at entrance to West Lobby. Take elevator to second floor, rear.
