The speaker at the January 21, 2026 meeting of the Gun Violence Prevention subcommittee meeting will be Linda Coffin. Linda currently serves as the Co-Chair of the Gun Violence Prevention Committee for the Orange County League of Women Voters, and sits on the Leadership Council for The Howard Phillips Center for Children and Families, an organization doing extraordinary work across five key areas of healing—supporting children who have survived abuse, preventing future harm, and uplifting families navigating developmental and childhood challenges. This year, she has also served on the political and faith-based teams for Immigrants Are Welcome Here. She also volunteers with many of the legislators in Central Florida. Previously she served as the Legislative State Co-Lead and Central Florida Legislative Lead for Moms Demand Action. Linda will give us an update on issues and pending legislation in Florida of interest to LWVCC.
