Your League Writes Letters
Eight people participated in the Letters to the Editor Workshop presented by Drs. Lisa Freund and Marcia Maloni via Zoom on June 10. They discussed why writing LTEs is important by providing: catharsis (you'll feel better), influence (legislative aides read and track), build community (let others know you share their views), and generally reflect the demographics of the readership.
The attendees shared what they felt most passionate about and then were invited to share their opening thoughts for a letter. Marcia and Lisa then offered advice and we hope that this presentation will be made available along with a list of publications open to LTEs on the Voter Services Committee Google Drive.
